Dead space wiki planet cracker12/23/2023 ![]() First Stasis shot simply paints something in blue and marginally slows them the second Stasis shot appears to be what finally does the trick, for an obscenely short period of time even with 1 duration upgrade. It makes grabbing the bone-blade off detached limbs extremely important, almost like a twitch-shooter when there are multiple, or in close-quarters. With 2 or more, spam Stasis, or you are in for a ride. Until I got +4 Damage in total for my Planet Cracker-tipped PC, the Plasma Cutter has difficulty stopping a Slasher in close-quarters before it gets into melee range. Why not use the Shotgun with RoF upgrade instead of the Force Gun? I disassembled my Force Gun and now rely only on my Plasma Cutter. They seem to run a lot more, their walking speed is still fast, and they can get back up with minimal delay after knockback with Force Gun and when Shotgun also has the same knockback effect. But it was only after the Optional Mission 'Conning Tower & Edward's Traps' that I finally could verbalise what went wrong with DS3's combat. The Space segment is incredibly stressful, it made me even fearful of every vent, every dark corner, every potential drop-in point. I forgot all but the most obvious spawn points. ![]() Last playthrough years and years ago, so the game is almost fresh to me at this point. ![]() I finally understand why Dead Space 3 has a vastly different feel to it. ![]()
